Churches

Churches/Cathedrals

The Bavarian region of Germany is predominantly Catholic while the northern/central region is predominantly Lutheran. Enjoy the beauty of these "Houses of Worship"

Munich

Asam Church

Saint Michael's' Church

Nuremburg

Church of Our Lady

 Saint Sebald

Regensburg

Regensburg Cathedral ( Dom St. Peter or Regensburger Dom)
- attended Sunday Mass and stood about 30 feet from the altar. The service, choir and organ music were inspirational.

Alte Kapelle - Church that hosted our GCT A-Capella quartet concert...stunning

Passau

St. Stephens Catholic Church

Melk

900-year-old Melk Benedictine Abbey

Vienna

St. Charles's Church (Karlskirche) - built in the 18th century. Currently undergoing renovation within its dome structure. An elevator takes you up to a stairway that allows you to admire the frescoes painted on the dome walls/ceiling.

Saint Stephen's Cathedral - "defines the city's center and has been the heart of Vienna for centuries" (Vienna Tourism)
